Motif collection: A regulatory motif is defined by one or more consensus sequences. A consensus sequence represents the possible nucleotides found at each position of a motif. Available yeast transcription factor consensus motif collections are from The Promoter Database of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (SCPD; Zhu & Zhang, 1999) and from Harbison et al. (2004). Selecting a similarity cut-off of 0.99 does not allow any mismatch to the sequence.
